Johanna L. Wiese is co-authoring the background paper for the 2011 General Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) thematic meeting on Markets for Migration and Development (M4MD) together with Marion Panizzon and Elisa Fornale.

 

Johanna is a Research Associate on migration, education and human security issues at the La Salle Institute of Governance (LSIG), Manila. She previously worked for the UK Border Agency’s Analysis Research and Knowledge Management Directorate (ARK) where she compiled the UK country study on Temporary and Circular Mobility for the European Migration Network (EMN). She also completed internships with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) and worked as a volunteer translator for the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migration (PICUM).

 

Johanna holds an MPhil in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and an MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
