Gabriele Spilker is a Fritz-Thyssen Fellow at the Weatherhead Center of International Affairs at Harvard University and a postdoctoral researcher in the “International Political Economy” group headed by Thomas Bernauer at the Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) and the Institute for Environmental Decisions (IED). Gabriele joined the CIS as a member of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) “Democracy” working on the research project on “Democratic Structures and Processes and the Provision of Public Goods” in October 2005. In the context of this research project she completed her PhD at ETH Zurich in September 2009. Since October 2009 Gabi has been a member of the NCCR “Trade Regulation” research project on “Compliance with WTO Dispute Rulings”.

 

Her main research interests are in the area of international political economy, international cooperation, globalization and environmental politics. Her work has been published in the British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, Journal of Peace Research, Rationality and Society and in several edited volumes.
