Doris Oberdabernig is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the World Trade Institute (WTI)/NCCR Trade Regulation and Scientific Coordinator of the Swiss-based international research project, r4d Employment,  funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and the Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF. She is also a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Economics (University of Bern) and a Research Associate at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) where she is involved in an FP7 project funded by the European Commission (www4Europe).

Doris graduated from the University of Innsbruck in 2014 with a PhD in Economics. Her research interests include applied econometrics, mainly in the field of development economics and migration. Doris holds Master's degrees in Political Economy, and International Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Innsbruck. During her PhD studies, she took part in the Young Scientists Summer Program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).

Before starting her position at the WTI, Doris worked as a Pre-doc Assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). She has also been consultant in several research projects of the World Bank.

Doris has recently published in World Development journal. She has acted as a referee for scientific journals, and has presented her research at several international workshops and conferences.
