Céline Carrère has been a Research Fellow at CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) since 2007, at the Center for Studies and Researches on International Development (CERDI), University of Auvergne, France. Before joining the CNRS, she received her PhD in economics at the CERDI (2004) and she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland (2005-2007). She is also an invited professor at the University of Geneva and has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Trade Organization. She is currently doing research on developing countrie’s exports, the impact of infrastructure and transport costs on trade, regional integration, and economic geography.
