Philipp Aerni graduated in Geography and Economics at the University of Zurich and received his PhD from the Institute of Agricultural Economics at ETH Zurich. Subsequently, he continued his postdoctoral research at Harvard University and the Institute for Comparative and International Studies at ETH Zurich.  His main research interest is innovation for development.
He is currently also employed at the Institute for Environmental Decisions at ETH Zurich, where he teaches a course in ‘Science, Technology and Public Policy’.
