Nikolas Stürchler joined the NCCR in 2005 as a senior research fellow upon completing his studies in law and international relations at the Universities of Basel, Cambridge and Stanford. Aftrer completing his PhD thesis entitled ‘The Threat of Force in International Law’, he was responsible for research on and coordination of the NCCR individual project 1, and taught constitutional law and international law at the University of Basel and for the MILE programme in Bern. Since May 2007, he works for the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
